Alyssa, our highly skilled Master Colorist and Stylist at William Tissert Salon and Spa, brings her extensive expertise and dedication to the hair industry since 2016. With a rich family legacy of hairdressers, she has inherited a wealth of techniques and knowledge, shaping her into the exceptional professional she is today. Alyssa’s passion for hairstyling led her to pursue a comprehensive education, earning her a diploma from the prestigious Career School of Hair Styling.
Alyssa has also undergone specialized training with industry-leading brands, including Goldwell Canada, KMS, and L’Oreal Canada. These immersive programs have provided her with a deep understanding of color theory, innovative styling techniques, and the latest industry trends. Hi! I’m Maddy, a passionate hairstylist at WTS, with a true love for creating transformative hair looks that leave my clients feeling confident and beautiful. I attended Durham Hair Academy in 2022, where I refined my skills in cutting, colouring, and styling. I’ve been immersed in the salon world since I was 15, and my passion for the craft has only deepened over the years.
While I absolutely love working with all types of colour, I especially excel in balayage, grey blending, and creating lived-in, natural looks that complement each client’s unique style. Whether it’s a fresh colour transformation or a tailored cut that enhances your natural beauty, my goal is always to deliver personalized results that leave a lasting impression.
I’m deeply committed to my craft, which is why I continuously seek out advanced courses to stay ahead of the latest trends and perfect my techniques. Yulia’s journey into the world of hairstyling began in 2021, driven by her passion for creativity and precision. After earning her diploma in hairstyling in July 2022, she joined the William Tissert Salon and Spa team in March 2023, bringing her commitment to excellence and meticulous attention to detail to every client experience.
In April 2024, Yulia completed her apprenticeship and obtained her hairstylist license. Always striving to refine her craft, she enhanced her skills further by mastering modern cutting techniques for bobs and layers through an advanced haircutting course the same year.

Arwen is passionate about finding beauty in those who seek it through hairstyling. Working with the top-tier hair stylists at William Tissert has been a rewarding learning experience. I have been working at William Tissert since April 2024 as an assistant and student. I will be attending Durham Hair Academy on Mondays and Tuesdays, beginning February 2025 to further my knowledge and skills necessary to produce amazing hair results. I will complete my Level 1 training by the end of June 2025 while working in the salon and plan on working towards Red Seal certification. I’m currently trying to build my own clientele by practicing all kinds of styling techniques, such as blowouts, curls, straightening, and braiding as well as helping the stylists apply color, toner, perms, extensions, and other tasks where I can assist. I am incredibly appreciative of the opportunity to work in such a welcoming salon. The positive energy and supportive, fun environment inspire me to become a top-tier stylist myself!
