IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a non-invasive treatment that reduces sun damage, age spots, redness, and uneven skin tone. It helps with acne scars, rosacea, and fine lines by boosting collagen for smoother, firmer skin. This treatment is safe for most skin types and has minimal downtime. Our Medical Aestheticians customize each session to your needs for the best results.

IPL & Vascular Laser Aftercare

Use a gentle cleanser and lukewarm water to wash your face—avoid hot water.

Moisturize well using a mild, non-comedogenic product to soothe the skin.

Wear SPF 30 or higher daily, even indoors. Sun protection is absolutely critical.

Pat skin dry—no rubbing.

Expect some redness or darkening of spots—this is normal and usually fades within a week.

Let spots flake off naturally—no picking or scrubbing.

Avoid the Following:

  • Sun exposure and tanning (natural or artificial) for at least 2 weeks.
  • Hot showers, saunas, or steam rooms for 48 hours.
  • Exfoliating products, retinoids, AHA/BHA acids, or scrubs for 5–7 days.
  • Heavy makeup for 24–48 hours.
  • Working out or sweating excessively for 24–48 hours.
  • Alcohol-based skincare—these can irritate your skin during healing.

Why to Avoid Spicy Food & Alcohol After Treatment:

  • Alcohol causes vasodilation (it widens your blood vessels), which can:
    • Re-aggravate treated capillaries.
    • Increase redness or flushing.
    • Delay healing or even contribute to new broken vessels.
  • Spicy foods have a similar effect—they stimulate blood flow to the skin and can:
    • Trigger facial flushing.
    • Increase inflammation in freshly treated areas.
